Mr. Sklaroff is a partner in the law firm Ballard Spahr LLP. At Ballard Spahr, he chaired its Real Estate Department from its inception in 1988 through 2012. Mr. Sklaroff planned and moderated the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s programs “The Law of Historic Preservation,” “The Science of Land Use,” and “The New Lanscape of Land-Use Litigation: Robinson Township.” He also served as Founding Chair, Real Property Section, Philadelphia Bar Association, and chaired its Committee on Condemnation and Appraisals.

Mr. Sklaroff is a former Deputy Executive Director, Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority, and has chaired the Development Workshop, Inc. since its formation in early 2008. He was a member and Chair of the Philadelphia Historical Commission. He is a member of ULI American College of Real Estate Lawyers and Counselors of Real Estate. Michael Sklaroff is listed in Chambers USA:  America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, in the Real Estate Law and Real Estate: Zoning/Land Use Law, highest ranking (band one) and in Best Lawyers in America for Real Estate Law and Litigation-Real Estate (Real Estate Lawyers of the Year, Philadelphia, 2012).

Mr. Sklaroff graduated from Columbia College and the University of Pennsylvania Law School, magna cum laude, where he was Editor,University of Pennsylvania Law Review, and Member, Order of the Coif.
